What’s cooler than a 409? How about a date code correct 409 that has been freshly rebuilt, bored and stroked to a 474 CID V8, then topped with BWR aluminum heads, and built with a Scat forged rotating assembly with “H” bearings, Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, Howard’s hydraulic roller lifters, true roller timing chain, Melling shark tooth oil pump, FelPro and Cometic gaskets, one piece chromoly pushrods, high performance intake, Edelbrock dual quad carburetors, and Scorpion roller rockers! Dual electric fans and a big aluminum radiator keep it all cool, even in the Florida heat. That powerhouse on an engine was built by Muscle Machining in Largo Florida and absolutely rumbles through high performance exhaust manifolds and aluminized dual exhaust. It is paired with the original 4-speed manual transmission that has also been rebuilt. The rear end was also rebuilt and the numbers suggest that it is original to the car as well. This very well could be a numbers matching car from the engine, to the transmission, and even the rear end! This car received a complete frame-off restoration, and you won’t find a nicer one! The seller has the stock wheels, the original radiator, and some other parts that go with the car if you want to put it back closer to stock.
The Tuxedo Black paint and Red interior are the original colors and manage to look incredibly sporty and classy at the same time. The interior is left completely stock with the exception of a couple gauges hung under the dash to keep your eye on that big V8! There isn’t much sexier than a Bubbletop, and when they are this straight, smooth, and shiny it is hard to look away. Modern alloy wheels give this car a restomod look, and the big radial tires help plant the power and get it moving!
Slide into the interior and you will be transported back to 1962. The upholstery is like new and just like it left the factory! Plenty of room for you and 3 or 4 of your closest friends to hit the strip and cruise. Or take it to a show, where you are almost certain to take home trophies and plaques every time!
The cowl tag gives us the paint code of 900 and the trim code of 872 along with the RPO 587 and accessory codes: 03, 336, and BZW.
